Master Blaster Cover Album
TheBrainSexyDiet (TBSD)

Pop/rock/industrial/electro-noise radical TheBrainSexyDiet traced their origins back to 1987, when Brazilian frontman A. C. Barbieri AKA "UBIK", arrived in London. UBIK got increasingly bored with his work as rock producer and began experimenting with Atari computers, a few sound modules and tape recorders.

Influenced and motivated by the visceral power of bands like Ministry and Young Gods plus the seminal musical works of bands like Laibach, Front 242 and In The Nursery and finaly by the legendary, timeless and futuristic sound of Kraftwerk,  he began creating abrasive guitar and drum loops, adding samples from movies and noises from machines. He also added bits and pieces from ethnic and classical music.

UBIK founded TheBrainSexyDiet in 1988. The name was inspired by a poster advertising a diet with quality fruits and vegetables for a healthier brain. TheBrainSexyDiet was created as a studio project and never played live.
Composed, produced and recorded by A. C. Barbieri, the Master Blaster debut album was completed in 1995 and was a compilation of recordings UBIK had been doing for many years. The album itself was never released officially although some copies went around. A. C. Barbieri worked also as a UK correspondent for Brazilian music magazines, recorded and produced other people and also released an album from his other musical project The Living Clocks called "The Flowers of Evil" (2bStar Records • 2003).
